Blue Ribbon Strawberry Pie Recipe
Ingredients:
Whipped-topping
Few food color drops
1 c water
1/4 c cornstarch
1 c sugar
1 qt washed strawberries
1 pet-ritz dish pie-crust
Instructions:
Prepare & heat the oven to four hundred degrees Fahrenheit. Have pie-crust baked following package instructions. Cool then chop 1 c strawberries.
You combine cornstarch & sugar in 2-qts saucepan. Gradually stir water in ’til smoothened then add strawberries. Stir often while cooking ’til thickened & boiling.
You remove mixture from the heat then add food color. Cool inside your fridge for 30 mins. You pour about 3/4 syrup onto pie pan.
Stand rest of your strawberries within pie-crust. reserve about 1/4 c to be used as garnish. You pour rest of syrup all over berries then chill ’til firm for 3 hrs.
Have every slice topped w/ whipped-topping & strawberry slice prior to serving.
